INCORPORATE THE MUSIC

          TO PLAY FROM MP3 FILE

Insert data CD with your mp3 into appropriate drive of computer .

1.      Insert song from mp3 data CD by clicking on “insert” from menu at top, then “Movies and Sounds”, then “Sound from File”, then click on the mp3 you want. When you are prompted to see if you want to have the file play automatically, click yes.

2.      When the speaker sound icon appears in the middle of the slide, simply drag it off the slide to the side if you wish not to see it during presentation. Right click on the icon, choose “custom animation”, then click “While playing: Continue slide show”.

3.      Below that, you want to “Stop playing” after the # of slides in your show. Enter the number and click OK.

  1. The mp3 file must be in the “D” drive when PowerPoint starts. (In order to use just one CD for presetation, just copy mp3 file onto the same data CD with your slideshow before you burn the CD closed.) Load PowerPoint to desktop first…
  2. Now to cue the slides to the music. Take Song length (in seconds) divided by slides- (in slide sorter view, right click on slide, then “slide transition”- “apply to all”)
  3. In the PowerPoint Slide sorter view, right click on the slide you want to adjust timing on. In “slide transition”, adjust individual slide lengths until you get it right…do not click “apply to all”, just “apply”)
  4. Do not forget credit slides, even if they just flash on screen (unless you are also doing annotated slideshow as well), viewer can always return to it…
  5. SAVE YOUR WORK AFTER EVERY SLIDE. SAVE ENTIRE PROJECT TO MORE THAN ONE SOURCE AT CLOSE OF EACH WORK SESSION
